5.1 Control Plan Flashcards
Why do we calculate both short and long term capability?
Short term capability is based on assumptions, long term capability has extra unknown sources of variability. We usually assume a process will shift by 1.5 sigma over time.
What is the difference between leading and lagging indicators?
Lagging indicators report what has happened. Leading indicators suggest what will happen.
What is FMEA?
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. It’s a way of categorizing possible failures in a process and estimating the frequency, visibility, and severity of those failures.
What are three key elements of good training?
Set objectives for learning, Communicate relevant information, Assess the trainee to ensure they’ve learned the information.
Which piece of the continuity plan ties them all together?
The training plan brings everyone up to speed on all of the relevant changes, including the rest of the continuity plan.
