Clinical Manifestations

A
  • asymptomatic microfilaraemia is common
  • apisodic fever and chills
  • acute recurrent lymphadenitis (enlargement of 1 or more lymph nodes)
  • epididymitis
  • recurrent lymphatic inflammation may lead to chronic lymphatic obstruction; thickened swollen hyperkeratotic skin
