  • Myobacterium Tuberculosis
  • males> females
  • airborne particles
  • infectious droplet nuclei by coughing, sneezing

Risk Factors

A
  • close contact
  • immunocompromised patients (AIDS, Cancer)
  • drug abuse and alcoholism
  • pre existing medical condition (diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure)

Clinical Manifestations

A
  • cough 2 weeks, initially dry then green to yellowish phlegm
  • continuous low grade fever
  • chest pain with dyspnea
  • haemoptysis
  • anorexia, loss of weight
  • lethargy
