What are adverse drug reactions?
What are the drug therapy outcomes possible (broadly)?
What are some factors affecting drug toxicity?
What are general considerations for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic drig-drug interactions and drug toxicity?
Why is a narrow therapeutic index important?
What are adverse on-target effects? How are they caused?
What are adverse off-target effects? How are they caused?
What causes immune-mediated adverse drug responses?
What factors influence drug antigenicity?
Drug antigenicity refers to the ability of a drug or medication to elicit an immune response in the body. When a drug is considered antigenic, it means that it has the potential to be recognized as a foreign substance by the immune system, leading to the activation of the immune response. This immune response can involve the production of antibodies or the activation of immune cells, such as T cells, to target and neutralize the perceived foreign invader.
The antigenicity of a drug is determined by its chemical structure and its interactions with components of the immune system, particularly major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules, which play a key role in presenting antigens to immune cells.
How do you classify drug allergic reactions (not important)?
What is a pseudoallergy to a drug?
What is a teratogen? What are their effects? How are they classified?
What is included in the new PLLR system?
How does hepatotoxicity occur from the formation of major drug metabolites? What is a common example of this?
