2) LANs can be setup without cabling - doesn’t take space or time to lay the cables, and there is no extra cost on cables
3) WiFi can support roaming between access points - people can switch from router to router automatically depending on which connection is best.
4) Setup costs are minimal - many types are available on the market and they are affordable.

1) Security issues - radio waves can be susceptible to packet sniffers.
2) Interference - the 2.4GHz spectrum is often crowded with other devices, and has a limited range.
