Source

A
  • derived from plant cellulose(main source: wood pulp, usually eucalyptus)
  • manufacture: closed loop system - all waste can be re-used in the production process
  • made with resin and chemicals
  • forest -> wood -> pulp -> fibre
  • spun fibre: consists of many fibrils(microscopic fibres)
  • fibrils inside fibres can be split: allows fabrics to be manufactured in a variety of appearances and specific end uses
