A large number of armed and confused protestors went to Tuileries palace to confront the king and to petition him to recall his two aunts from foreign lands

He tried to act as an intermediary between the mob and the king
What did Bailly suggest should happen to the mob?
20 delegates of the mob would be allowed to enter the palace and air their grievances

He refused to let anyone enter the palace, and the national guard dispersed the crowd after a three hour standoff
