• When the circuit breakers are pulled (overhead panel E13/14, in event of incident)
• Automatically 5 minutes after the last engine shutdown

The EVAC light flashes red and a horn sounds in the cockpit (this can be silenced with HORN SHUT OFF).

In the cabin, EVAC lights flash at the forward and aft attendant panels, and an evacuation tone sounds.
