Q

What happens with electrons during ionic, polar covalent, and nonpolar covalent bonds

A

in ionic the valence electron will stay where it is no bond. Polar the electron will move creating a bigger EN. Non polar will have equal use of the electron. Lowest EN

Q

When given two atoms, what type of bond will form between them and why?

A

if their the same they will be non polar if they are opposites then they are polar if they do not interact then they are ionic.

Q

Explain how electronegativity determines what type of bond two atoms will form

A

if their is one with more EN then the bond will be polar if EN is less non polar if their is non Ionic
