1
Q

Before attempting to balance fuel, what does the SOPM require the pilot to check first? What is the reason behind this procedure?

A

Check for fuel leak. So we don’t use all the fuel from a good tank while not using fuel from a tank that is leaking

Q

What is powering the electrical system during an electrical emergency?

A

AC Essential bus

The RAT deploys automatically and after eight seconds, supplies power to the AC Essential Bus

The batteries power the DC Essential Busses and the AC Standby Bus using an inverter during the eight second RAT deployment.

Once the RAT deploys, the DC Essential Busses are powered through the ESS TRU
