Define learning.
Learning is the process of acquiring knowledge through experience, which leads to changes in behaviour.
What are the three main types of learning?
- Informal: usually deliberate but not highly structured.
- Formal: deliberate and highly structured.
- Incidental: learning through a by-product of another activity.
What are the four advantages to work-based learning?
- increased competence
- increased innovation and creativity
- increased motivation
- staff are likely to be more flexible
A learning organisation does 4 things:
- transfers knowledge
- tolerates risk and failure as learning opportunities
