3
Q
Urinalysis result of nephrotic syndrome
A
proteinnurea
frothy urine
4
Q
Nephritic syndrome
A
haematuria
mild/moderate proteinurea
oliguria
red cell clasts in urine ** (indicate glomerular damage)

Oedema
Haematuria
Oliguria
6
Q
glomerulopathy types
A
proliferative
non-proliferative
7
Q
non-proliferative glomerulopathies
A
- minimal change glomerulonephritis (nephrotic)
- Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (nephrotic - most common cause)
- Membranous glomerulonephritis (idiopathic)
8
Q
proliferative glomerulopathies
A
- IgA nephropathy a.k.a Bergers disease (nephritic - 24/48 hrs after URTI)
- Post-infectious glomerulonephritis (immunologically mediated after step - presents as nephritic)
- Membranoproliferative glumerulonephritis (glomerular basement membrane thickening)
9
Q
How do non-proliferative glomerulopathies typically present?
A
nephrotic syndrome
Decreased glomerular cell proliferation
10
Q
How do proliferative glomerulopathies typically present?
A
Nephritic syndrom
Increased number of cells in glomerulus
