These structures organise the information;
Descriptive - What is someone or something like?
Comparative - How are things different from each other?
Chronology - What happened in order of dates?
Cause-Effect - Why did it happen, what were the consequences?

These structures show the function of the writing;
Summary - What does the writer say? What is the idea about? What is the most important parts?
Analysis - Going deeper, what is this all about?
