what are causes for dysphagia?

A
  • bulbar palsy = neurological problem in initiating swallowing (cranial nerve abnormalities)
  • GORD = gastro-oesophageal reflux disease →causes oesophagitis which can make sore but also get feeling of food sticking
  • candidiasis = fungal infection (candida infection) of oesophagus - common for immunosuppressed or asthma with inhaler steroids with bad technique

= chronic inflammatory conditions = allergic response
- all ages
- intermittent dysphagia - reflux, nauseated, put off food
