- Milan based collective of designers who rebelled against the functionality of modernism
- Indpired by Art Deco and other movements and designs, such as Pop Art and childrens toys

- Playful, bold, colourful
- Functionality was overlooked
- Human (anthropomorphic) and animal (zoomorphic) features
- Abstract, random geometric forms. Designed to shock
- Non-traditional materials, like plastic laminate, neon tubes and printed glass
