  • Take full account of users, the task being performed and the environment it will be used in
  • Involve users during design and development
  • Be refined using user-centred evaluation
  • Result from an iterative design process
  • Consider the whole user experience
  • Use a team of peope with a range of skills/ specialties, such as:
    product designers, engineers, ergonomists, marketing specialists, industrial specialists
