Causes of the Feb-March Revolution

A

Why Was There A Disaster in 1917
-Weakness of Russia
-WWI - Army poorly led, equipped, 200k die at Tanenberg and Masurian Lakes. 15m men were from farms.
-Tsar’s Mistakes - Tsarina controls army, then Tsar, Feb chaos in gov’t, fails to act on it
-Army abandons Tsar - Mar 8 riots, Mar 12 mutiny
-Duma abandons Tsar - Mar 13, Duma forces Tsar to abdicate.
