Complete assessment includes

- A complete set of vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and pulse oximetry reading.
- When indicated, a cardiac rhythm strip, 12 lead ECG, and a blood glucose reading.

Effective immediately, anytime a patient is determined to meet Sections A or B of the PDP, assisting resources shall not be canceled or accept release until all of the following are completed:

- The patient is safely moved to the back of the rescue ambulance in preparation for transport.
- A re-assessment of the patient is completed by a Department paramedic.
- A hospital destination is confirmed.
- The need for additional personnel in the back of the ambulance and/or the need for a driver are determined based on the current condition of the patient, need for two paramedics in the back of the RA for treatment, and based on the likelihood of the patient deteriorating.
