What is management?
The process of being responsible for and controlling people

Autocratic
Democratic

Laissez-faire
What is autocratic leadership?
-employees are told what to do
-communication is one way
-opinions of subordinates are not taking into account
-very little delegation
What is democratic leadership?
-offer guidance to group members
-lots of delegation
-employees have more of a say
What is paternalistic leadership?
-shows kindness
-expects loyalty
-a softer form of autocratic leadership
-leaders decide whats best for employees
What is Laissez-faire?
-employees make decisions freely
-leaders have little input day to day

-managers experience
-pressure
-skills of subordinates
