What is the function of COCOM?
COCOM: Combatant Command; command with a broad continuing mission under a single commander and composed of significant components of two or more Military Departments
What is the function of Navy COCOM?
Navy COCOM: Naval Combatant Command; maritime mission under single commander
What is the function of FLTCOM?
FLTCOM: Fleet Command; parent command for all naval units subordinate to a specific fleet (Operational Control)
What is the function of TYCOM?
TYCOM: Type Command; an administrative chain of command in which the various ships report to the appropriate forward-area commanders (Naval Air, NETWARCOM, Naval Education, etc.)
