What is sticky blood?
Chemicals in the blood make blood clotting cells more sticky than normal (from smoking). This increases the strain on the heart and increases the likelihood of clots. Linked to CAD, MI, CVA, PVD, HTN
What is Coronary heart disease (CHD)?
When blood vessels within the the heart oxygen are damaged or blocked decreasing blood and oxygen to the heart muscle.
What is Cerebrovascular disease? (CVA, stroke)
When blood vessels feeding the brain with oxygen become damaged or blocked decreasing blood and oxygen to the brain.
What is Hypertension/High blood pressure?
When blood is being pumped through the arteries at increased pressure (above 120/80)
What is asthma?
A chronic condition that affects the small air passages of the lungs. When exposed to certain triggers the airways narrow, making it difficult to breathe.
What is shortness of breath (SOB)?
Finding it difficult to breath/unable to breathe normally
