Long Ago, before God made people, God made very many angels. These angels lived together with Him in heaven. He made them as good, without sin. The angels were also spirits. And they worship and serve God and become His servants. One angel who God made was very intellegent and beautiful also, motre than the others. His name was Lucifer. And God gave Lucifer an important position in heaven.

After some time, Lucifer had lots of pride and wanted to become greater than God. And there were also other angels who follow Lucifer and rebelled against God. But God knew what Lucifer and the other angels were thinking. Lucifer was not able to rebel because God knows everything and is more powerful than Lucifer and the angels, because God made them.

God changed the name of Lucifer to Satan. The name has the important meaning “Deceiver”. Satan and his followers became God’s enemies. And they rebelled against the plan of God all the time. From that time, those angels who followed Satan, are the evil spirits. They follow Satan from the truth. Satan does not want us to listen to God’s Word.
