ZMP LOA Flashcards
All aircraft arriving from ZMP will be level at or descending to:
11,000’ MSL
When an aircraft is within 10 miles outside of the airspace and a change in course made by approach will not affect Fargo, how many degrees can approach turn an aircraft?
Up to 30 degrees
En route departure clearance to departing aircraft may be issued without Center approval as long as certain conditions are met:
A: the flight plan has been given from center via FDIO or inter phone
B: Departures are cleared at 10,000’ MSL or below
C: Departures are within 2 hours of the proposed departure time/ expected departure clearance time (EDCT)
D: an actual or assumed departure time (within 3 min of actual) is forwarded to center
E: RAPCON confines all departures to within approach control airspace until a radar handoff is accomplished with center
After leaving 8,000 feet MSL, center shall have control of departures for turns up to:
30 degrees either side of course
After center accepts the handoff for departures, RAPCON shall issue:
The requested altitude or FL230, whichever is lower
Center will advise approach if an altitude different from the requested altitude is to be assigned.
All Grand Forks AFB cell departure operations will be conducted in nonstandard formation using MARSA procedures:
1: issue each aircraft a clearance and assign each aircraft a beacon code and have them squawk on departure
2: Ensure each aircraft flight strip contains the phrase “MARSA W//(wingman call sign)” in the remarks section
What does MARSA stand for?
Military Assumes Responsibility for Separation of Aircraft
Which fixes do you use when doing position references with ZMP?
GFK
RDR
SHELS
(Crookston shelf procedures)
Aircraft landing at TVF from the RAPCON’s airspace shall be level or descending to
5,000’MSL prior to transfer of control to ZMP Center
(Crookston Shelf Procedures)
Aircraft landing TVF will be ZMP center’s control for clearance to fly the
12-mile arc west of TVF
(Crookston Shelf Procedures)
ZMP shall keep aircraft flying the 12-mile arc to the northwest of TVF at or above 5,000’ MSL until the aircraft crosses the:
170 radio of TVF, and have control for descent on the 12-mile ATCT to the northwest of TVF
The center shall forward flight plan information on all flights which will enter RAPCON’s airspace at least:
5 minutes prior to the aircraft entering their airspace
Either RAPCON or Center may request:
Corridors be established for aircraft departing to enter, or recovering from, various military training areas
RAPCON shall restrict:
High altitude military aircraft to that approach assisted with the coordination clearance limit
(Opening/Closing procedures:
RDR RAPCON shall verbally coordinate with ZMP when
Opening and closing
