ZERO SIDE SLIP Flashcards
1
Q
What is side slip?
A
- is the angle which the relative wind meets the longitudinal axis of the a/c
- when you lose an engine and you fly wings-level, “ball” centered, the asymmetrical thrust produced by your single engine makes your plane slip through the air
- creating a whole bunch more drag than what’s necessary
