- AFM 7-43
- provides control force feedback when pilot is operating outside of defined envelope
- only functions when AP is operable but disengaged
- when aircraft approaches defined operating limits, AP servos automatically engage to nudge aircraft back to normal operating envelope
- pilot can easily overpower and interrupt ESP by using AP disconnect
- ESP will automatically re-enable after every electrical power cycle
