What is the top section of Vertebral Column?
Cervical Vertebrae (7)
What does the Cervical Vertebrae do?
It is in the neck, movement of the head in a number of directions.
What is the second part of the Vertebral Column?
Thoracic Vertebrae
What does the Thoracis Vertebrae do? Where is it?
Upper body, Rotation of the upper body, sporting skills.
What is the third part of the Vertebral Column?
Lumbar Vertebrae (5)
What/Where is the Lumbar Vertebrae
Lower back, it has the largest vertebrae out of all of them. The gravity is also pushing down on it so it has to be stronger.
What are the bottom two parts of the Vertebral Column
Sacrum and Coccyx (note: they are fused together, 5 and 4 in sizes of vertebrae)
What/Where is the Sacrum
Forms the back of the pelvis, weight bearing
What/Where is the coccyx
At the end of the Vertebral Column
What are the numbers for the vertebrae
