What are all the directional movements?
Anterior/Posterior, Medial/Lateral, Proximal/Distal, Superior/Inferior
Supination/Pronation
What does Anterior mean?
Anterior: Towards the front of the body
What does Posterior mean?
Posterior: Toward the back of the body
What does Medial mean?
Medial: Towards the Midline of the body
What does Lateral mean?
Lateral: Away from the midline of the body
What does Proximal mean?
Proximal: Closer to the origin
What does Distal mean?
Distal: Away from the origin
What does Superior mean?
Above something, towards the head
What does Inferior mean?
Below something, away from the head
What does pronation mean?
The hands face down in the anatomical position
What does supination mean?
The hands face up in the anatomical position.
