What are the rules for writing Ionic Formulae with poly

A
  1. The positive ion is written first
  2. The negative ion is written second
  3. The total number of each ion is adjusted so the total positive charge equals the total negative charge
  4. Subscripts are used to indicate the number of each ion present
  5. When there is more than one polyatomic ion, brackets are needed around the ion
