A: forearm pronation, assists with elbow flexion
O: medial epicondyle of humerus and coranoid process of the ulna
I: lateral aspect of the radius at midpoint.
Flexor carpi radialis
A: Flexion and abduction of the wrist
O: medial epicondyle of humerus
I: Bases of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals
Flexor carpi ulnaris
A: Flexion and adduction of wrist
O: humeral head: medial epicondyle of humerus
Ulnar head: proximal posterior ulna and olecranon process of ulna
I: Pisiform, hamate and base of 5th metacarpal
Extensor carpi radialis longus
A: wrist extension and abduction (radial deviation)
O: lateral supracondylar ridge; lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: base of 2nd metacarpal
Extensor carpi radialis brevis
A: wrist extension
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus
I: base of 3rd metacarpal
Extensor carpi ulnaris
A: wrist extension and adduction (ulnar deviation)
O: lateral epicondyle; posterior proximal ulna
I: base of 5th metacarpal
