How do you diagnose the wrist?
A
TART
- Look for asymmetry
- Palpate for tissue texture changes, tenderness
- Active and Passive Range of Motion
- Wrist Flexion - 80-90
- Wrist Extension - 70
- Wrist Abduction (palms facing up) - 20-30
- Wrist Adduction (palms facing up) - 30-40
Also assess motion of fingers
Assess BILATERALLY

How do you do a direct treatment for wrist?
A
MET
Determine weakest range of motion and put pt in the barrier.
Have them resist force for 3-5 seconds and relax
Find new barrier and repeat 2 more times
Return to neutral
Reassess
