Ingested eggs hatch in intestine, larvae PENETRATE mucosa, migrate from splanchnic circulation to systemic, cause liver absesses

Does not require ova or larval stage outside of human host.
What are the symptoms of Strongyloides?
Cough, Wheezing (worse w/ steroids), Epigastric Pain (worse w/ eating)

Stool culture; Ivmectin even if asymptomatic

Iron-deficiency anemia and malnutrition
