What are the 4 systems of the WMM?
A
Central executive- monitors incoming data, allocates tasks to slave systems
Phonological loop- deals with auditory info
Visuo spatial sketchpad- visual and spatial info
Episodic buffer- temporarily stores all others together to make sense of what we’re processing

What are the strengths of the WMM?
A
Provides an explanation for parallel processing
Patient KF- could recall verbal but not visual info
Developed based on evidence from lab experiments- controlled conditions

Weaknesses of WMM?
A
Too simplistic, vague- e.g. central executive
Lab experiments- low ecological validity
