What did the 14 Points lead to the creation of and what setbacks did it face?
This led to the creation of the United Nations which aimed to encourage cooperation however, Most Americans were against this and ultimately the US didn’t join.
What Problems did the US face in 1919?
There was a Post War economic downturn as war time industries collapsed therefore creating unemployment. This led to protests and strikes and the First Red Scare.
What other major problem did Wilson face in 1919?
He suffered from a stroke and his wife had to effectively run the country for him.
How did people view Wilson’s actions as President?
Many people believed he took far too much of a role in decision making, he didn’t consult congress of the League of Nations for example, he would personally draft bills and introduced them to congress himself. Many people saw this as undermining the separation of powers.
