He continued the policies of both New and Fair deal however, he also strengthened the social security program as well as increased the minimum wage.

In the case of Brown v Board of Education the supreme court ruled that school segregation was unconstitutional however, Eisenhower took very little federal action to support this.

He sent the 101st Airborne division to enforce the ruling of Brown v Board as the Governor of Arkansa had blocked 9 students from attending a school.
