How does weight loss affect knee stress?
for every lb loss there is a 4% reduction in stress on knee

How does an increase in BMI affect mortality?
for every 5 BMI units your mortality increases (starts at 25)
What is an independent RF for obesity/need for weight loss?
waist circumference (sign of visceral fat)

Why is a 3-5% weight loss significant
results in lower:

*MORE than that lowers BP and improves LDL
