A combination of embryonic carcinomas and undifferentiated somatic (e.g skin, muscle, bone, glands) tissues.
Pelvic inflammatory disease
- Infection of the upper female genital tract from microorganism ascending from the vagina and cervix
- pus may collect and abscess may form
Ovarian cancer
Adnexal mass (often solid, irregular and fixed) where 80% originate in theepithelium
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
- Syndrome that involves anovulation or ovulatory
dysfunction and androgen excess
