Adenocarcinoma is the most common type, its subtypes include:
- Endometrioid with mucinous as a further subtype
- Serous with a further subtype of clear cell

No ionising radiation
MRI scan is far better than CT scan in depicting the local disease extent in staging of cervical cancer. What cannot be assessed when using MRI compared to CT?
Distant metastases to lungs and mediastinum
What is an important risk factor to consider when assessing the risk of cancer relapse in someone ?
AGE - if they are very young when it occured there may well be a mutation causing it, and also time is not on their side for recurrence
