Who is William Wundt
Wundt is known as the ‘Father of Psychology. This is because he is presented as the person who discovered psychology using his method of Introspection which is currently being highly used in our modern lives.
What was the name of the method Wundt used to display the thoughts and feelings of his participants?
Introspection - The examination or observation of one’s own mental and emotional processes
He asked the participants to read out their thoughts aloud to constantly monitor their thoughts live.
What factor ,about his lab, did Wundt use to minimise any potential variables that could affect his results
He created his lab under controlled conditions so that he could minimise the risk of any variables affecting his final results. With the use of a controlled condition Lab he was able to examine his practioneers to evaluate how they would think, without the risk of any variables that could have an impact on his results.
Why is Wundt known as the ‘father of science’
Whilst Wundt was trying to understand the concept of how people process thoughts, he used Introspection. Introspection is now being used today in areas such as therapy and studying emotional of people demonstrating its value as one way mental processes can be investigated, therefore showing the emergence that Wundt has done for psychology. Further proving why he is known as the ‘father of psychology’
