Who do you think you are? Flashcards
How do genetic and environment factors determine phenotypes?
Genetic factors determine phenotypes by giving organism instruction on how to do things, but the environment determines if this organism gets the actual tools it needs to fulfil what the instruction give.
How does the structure of DNA relate to its function?
Bases code for amino acids which code proteins held together by phosphates and sugars in a double helix wound in chromosomes.
What is a Genome?
In the fields of molecular biology and genetics, a genome is all the genetic information of an organism.
What is Epigenetics?
In biology, epigenetics is the study of heritable traits, or a stable change of cell function, that happen without changes to the DNA sequence
