What is the (primary) process of turning wheat into flour
A
- The wheat is cleaned using things like sieves, spinners, scourers
- Then the wheat is washed in water and spun dry, the moisture content is monitored and controlled
- Then it’s blended with other types of wheat of different grades and moistures
- It’s grinded between break rolls and turns the wheat into flour
- The flour is treated with improvers and fortified

Why are some people not able to eat wheat
A
They have adverse reactions to gluten which is found in wheat, causing their intestine to swell up and not be able to absorb nutrients
