Human behavior is shaped by the sociological groups that they participate in, and by individual experiences
Latent Functions
Any function of a social institution or phenomenon that has an unintended or unrecognized outcome or state of being
Manifest Functions
The intended function(s) of social institutions or phenomenons, or the intended state of being
Society
The collective functioning of individuals in a mass social system, with set norms, rules, mores and folkways
Sociology
The study of society’s functions in a scientific way, based on observation and research
