What do cells need? Flashcards
1
Q
How could cells survive? What do cells need?
A
For a cell to survive it must be able to produce energy by cellular respiration.
Cellular respiration:
Glucose+Oxygen=Carbon Dioxide+Energy+Water
Cellular respiration happens in the mitochondria.
Cells also need water as their solvent for their reactions, fats to make their membranes, and minerals to form very important substances.

Q
How do cells work together?
A
In multicellular organisms, each cell has a specific function to achieve.
In order to achieve this function, the cells must be able to obtain certain substances.
for example, amino acids to produce protein
