Q

What can our eye observe?

A

Our naked eye can observe as small as 100 micrometers. However, for smaller objects, we need a light microscope, and for objects even smaller than 100 nanometers, we can observe them through the electron microscope.

Q

A student draws a diagram of a cheek cell with a width of 40millimeter. The actual width of the cell is 25 micrometer.
What is the magnification of the drawing?

A

Magnification=Image size over Actual size.
Millimeter—Micrometer 40 x 1000=40000 Divided by 25=1600
