What is a miscue analysis? What is a miscue?

A

A miscue analysis is an assessment of reading which collects information about reading ability as well as comprehension.
A miscue is an unexpected response when reading aloud and is assessed based on quality, not quantity (is meaning still maintained?).

  • Syntactic: structural components of the sentence or phrase.
