- Change inclination to long access to reach pulp chamber

How to drill access cavity first maxillary premolar?
Drill on middle of tooth between B and P. Once you feel drop, use diamond bur with non cutting tip to get straight view of canal orifice
What should be used to smoothen access cavity walls?
- Ultrasound tips
- Burs with non cutting end
What is most common configuration of root canals in maxillary 1st molars with 4 canals?
2 MB canals merge together most commonly. Sometimes can be separate

- Triangle shape as 2 B canal and 1 P canal
- If 4th canal present it will be in-between MB and P

How to clean mandibular incisors canals?
Quite difficult. Pulp is quite flattened so instrument won’t touch all walls. Important to use H file to scrape all walls and use NaOCl
How to do access cavity for md incisors?
- Use bur perpendicular to L surface 2-3mm
- Change angulation to long axis to reach pulp chamber
What is is average length of tooth measuring from?
Incisal/occ surface to end of tooth
Why should you completely remove roof of access cavity?
File will bend otherwise. Want it straight
How is C shaped canal managed?
Need to do cleaning and shaping all the way around
Describe access cavity for md premolars?
Oval/round shape in middle between B and L cusps
Where will 4 canals be found in md molars?
DL, DB, MB, ML
What is this extra canal known as in md first molar?
Mesial medial canal (4th or 5th canal of tooth)
