- i.e. ppl w ASD have capabilities that change w task
dynamic nature of capability: capability can be shifted by chaning factors involved in performance
- called capability shifting

RULE OF THUMB IN APA
adapt when necessary, to the extent that it’s necessary, w/o altering integrity of activity
don’t assume every activity needs adaptation
if it does, start w small changes
choose smth similar for inclusion
