all organisms are composed of 1 or more cells, all cells come from cells, and the cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms.

Because the little chambers he saw reminded him of the rooms monks slept in at the monasteries

Cytoplasm vs cytosol
Cytoplasm refers to the fluid and all the stuff in it while cytosol refers to just the fluid
What does a plasma membrane do?
Surrounds cell and separates it from its environment.
