Counseling points:

- Report cardiac symptoms (change in heartbeat or heart rhythm like chest pain; dizziness; fast, irregular heartbeat; palpitations; feeling faint or lightheaded; falls; breathing problems) ASAP
- Advise against sudden discontinuation, do not cut/chew
Elavil

- May be administered without regards to food
Strattera

Counseling points:
- May impair cognitive and motor functions
- Exercise caution in operating heavy machinery
- Not a drug of abuse
- Swallow capsules whole
- Powder in capsules is an ocular irritant

Counseling points:

Wellbutrin

Counseling points:
- Take XL tabs in AM to avoid insomnia
- Do not crush or chew SR or XL tabs
- Take doses at least 6 h apart, and do not exceed max dose due to seizure risk
- Potential side effects include nervousness, constipation, trouble sleeping, dry mouth, tremor
- Store in dry place
Buspar

Class: anti anxiety agent
Indication: generalized anxiety disorder
Counseling points:
- May cause drowsiness or dizziness
- Exhibits little potential for abuse
- Always take with food or always without food for consistent absorption
- Bioavailability is increased with food
- Avoid drinking large amounts of grapefruit juice, as it increases plasma concentrations
- Because of slow onset, not appropriate for PRN use
Celexa
