Refers to some difficulty, one encounters in the context of practice or other situations which one wants to obtain a solution to address this difficulty
Research problem
Used to address a research problem. Also challenges the assumptions we make about the world, or practice, which can lead to beneficial changes and the way we think about our address an identified problem.
Research question
Gives you a good overview of the current knowledge on the topic, the theories used to explain the topic, the method used to study the topic, and suggestions for future research
Literature review
A specific methodology that locates existing studies, select and evaluates contributions, analyzes and synthesizes data, and reports the evidence in such a way that allows reasonably clear conclusions to be reached about what is and not known about the topic of interest
Systematic review
A study where the research is based on quantitative or qualitative methods
Empirical study
Studies that describe the concepts or theories that explain or describe the phenomenon under investigation
Conceptual/theoretical studies
Examining each article so that you can identify how the literature described the significance of the research problem, the theories used to explain the problem, the research approaches used to study the research, and data analytic strategies used to analyze the data
Synthesizing
Represents research produced by governments, academics, business, and industry, imprinted, or electronic formats that are not found in journals or books published by commercial publishers
