Fire Bell and Warning light inhibition
Nose gear strut extension —> 20s or 400’
Caution and Beeper inhibition
80 knts —> nose gear strut extension +20s or 400’; or
—> below 75 knts during reject
Levels of EICAS messages
Warnings - Red (cannot be cancelled)
Caution - Amber (can be cancelled)
Advisory - Amber and indented (can be cancelled)
Status - White and displayed on status page
What causes Takeoff Configuration warning
o Flaps or slats not in takeoff position – or –
o Stabilizer trim not in takeoff range – or –
o Speedbrake lever not in DOWN detent – or –
o Parking brake not released
Landing Configuration Warning
Landing gear not down and locking:
o Landing flaps selected – or –
o Aircraft at or below 800 feet radio altitude and either thrust lever at idle
PILOT RESPONSE EICAS
− 30 minutes: Advisory level message
− 40 minutes: Caution level message with four beeps
− 45 minutes: Warning level message with siren
When is Windshear Warning System active
Inflight Below 1500 RA
Predictive Windshear Alert Area
On Ground:
Warning - 0.5 NM wide —> 3 NM
Caution - 30º angle —> 3 NM
In flight:
Warning - 0.5 NM wide —> 1.5 NM
Caution - 30º angle —> 3 NM
When is Predictive Windshear available
On the ground:
♦ When radar selected by crew – or –
♦ When takeoff power set
♦ Alerts available 12 seconds after system begins scanning
In Flight:
♦ Below 2300 feet RA
Predictive Windshear inhibition
Inhibits (during takeoff and landing):
− WARNINGS: between 100 knots and 50 AGL
− CAUTIONS: between 80 knots and 400 feet AGL
